Greetings From Inge

First, I would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome I have received from you all. It has been quite a journey to get here! I am thrilled. This week I’ve been getting settled in my office and getting the lay of the land so to speak. I imagine that this will be an on going process as we get to know one another. I wanted to share a few things that will be coming up very shortly as well as my schedule. First, didn’t we have fun at the meet and greet? I personally had a great time; I am making myself available in a similar way once a month. On the fourth Tuesday of every month, we will have a Town Hall Gathering from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM. The first Town Hall will be Tuesday, March 26th. I will be sharing my thoughts about the next four months. It is an important time as we head into the new church year. Please join me for questions, answers and good discussion.

Additionally, I am starting what I call a Tea for the Soul gathering. Tea for the soul is a time to meet, have some tea and share our spiritual journeys with one another. Tea for the Soul will meet on the second Thursday of every month from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM. The first Tea for the Soul gathering will be on Thursday, March 14th . I will do a brief presentation on a topic related to spiritual practice/formation and then we will open the time for sharing. If you have a favorite tea cup, bring it along. I’ll provide the tea. The topic for our first gathering is: Contemplative Listening.

Finally, Sundays after service/coffee hour, I plan to use the day for home visits and office hours until 5:00 PM. I will also be in the office on Mondays from 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Other good times to meet with me are on committee meeting days: 1st and 2nd Wednesdays of the month and 3rd Mondays and Tuesdays of the month.

My first service will be on March 24th . The theme of my message is, “know your why”. On March 31st, I will be talking about reconciliation, release and renewal and . . . . . drumroll please . . . . . Nancy Murphy will present the results of your vote on the top three values as well as what the next steps will be- don’t miss it!!!

Be well,
Pastor Inge
